Well, Wisconsin Quilt Expo is coming up in 3 weeks. We’re busy getting ready for that and we’re really looking forward to vending at a larger show. We hope you’ll all come on out to the Alliant Energy Center to visit us (and the other vendors, of course)!
We’ve received several new fabric lines recently, including all of our Christmas inventory for this year! We’ve got quite a few really nice Christmas/winter lines that we’re pretty excited about.
We celebrated our first anniversary on August 2! Thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate with our Birthday Sale Extravaganza! We also want to thank everyone who entered our drawing for a $50 Quilter’s Compass gift card by bringing in a holiday greeting card. We will hold onto the cards until December when we will take them to area nursing homes and assisted living centers for distribution to those who may not have family close-by for the holidays. We’re sure these cards will help bring smiles to their faces, so THANK YOU!
Barb received an e-mail this morning with information regarding a new 9-part documentary about quilting. It’s called “Why Quilts Matter” and will be airing on PBS starting this fall. We’re too anxious to wait, so we ordered a copy of the DVDs 🙂
One last thing to mention here — have you all heard about the ground black walnut shells? We now carry them in the store and they are AWESOME for stuffing pin cushions! Moda/United Notions posted a Facebook status today with a link to some free pin cushion patterns, so we thought those would be fun to share with you all here, too. So here you go! Happy Thursday!
